Bangkok to Laem Ngop pier (the Koh Chang ferry terminal in Trat) is 315 km via Highway 7 / Highway 3 / Highway 344. 02Ferry connection at Laem Ngop
Two operators run the Koh Chang ferry: Centrepoint and Ferry Koh Chang — both depart Laem Ngop hourly during daylight, with the last sailing around 18:30. The crossing is 30 to 45 minutes. Your chauffeur drops you at the right terminal based on your hotel-side preference — Centrepoint lands at Sapparot, Ferry Koh Chang at Centerpoint pier on the island (about 10 min apart by island taxi).

- No — ferry tickets are bought at the pier (THB 80–120 per passenger, 30–45 minute crossing). The flat fare covers chauffeur, fuel, tolls, and door-to-pier service. Buying the ferry separately gives flexibility to choose your departure time on arrival.
- Can you take us all the way to the hotel on Koh Chang?
- Not directly — mainland-registered chauffeur cars don't cross to the island. Your driver hands off at Laem Ngop pier. Most luxury Koh Chang hotels run shuttles from the Sapparot or Centerpoint landings; we coordinate timing with the hotel concierge in advance so a shuttle meets your boat.
- Is the drive comfortable enough for kids?
